obsessive-compulsive disorder

alright. let's cut it short.
medical term: obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
my term: tabiat buat benda ulang2

i had this conversation on the OCD issues with my boss last 3 weeks. she told me about her brother-in-law who suffers OCD. i'm quite interested on this issue, besides my obsession on MPD (multiple personality disorder) and not to forget eating disorder.heh. and last two weeks i told lish about these. we discussed (with serious face) about it a bit. (see? we could still talk things without include the kinky stuff, yea)
and to those whom started to find these boring, let me tell you that there is OCD in every one of us. what makes us different is only the limit of the repetition that we do.
correct me if i'm wrong, but that's my point of view.
people with OCD have persistent, upsetting thoughts (obsession) and use rituals (compulsions) to control the anxiety these thoughts produce. most of the time, the rituals end up controlling them.

for example, if people are obsessed with germs or dirt, they may develop a compulsion to wash their hands over and over again.

if they develop an obsession with intruders, they may lock and relock their doors many times before going to bed. (my case)

a need to repeatedly check things, touch things or count things.

my mom normally has this rituals, checking to see if the stove is off several times before leaving the house.
whenever i went out with sarah, she frequently asked me, "eh,aku lock tak keta td?"
then, she went to recheck and relock.
in this case, lish is not included because she doesn't care about it.tak lock pun takpe kan?sbb itu bukan keta,tp almari.hehe

ok,i admit that we do have the symptoms but not in high risk. because people with OCD perform their rituals even though doing so interferes with daily life and they find the repetition distressing.
just imagine, he bathes 100 times daily, he locks the door 200 times at a time and he combs his hair repeatedly for 250 times. (tu baru rambut kt kepala)
of course that kind of behavior will affect his daily life.
it will slow him down. and this kind of guy really exists.

if OCD becomes severe, it can keep a person from working or carrying out normal responsibilities at home.apatah lg di luar rumah kan?

so people, listen up. try not to be doing things repeatedly.
even for sex (married), satu malam 4-5 rounds cukup ah. takyahla sampai 56 kali.
